From the A6 1500, to the Khamsin, to the 3200 GT; Maserati has reliably crafted a front-engine, luxurious 2+2 sportscar throughout its' history. Perhaps the most prolific was the first GranTurismo thanks to its timeless presence, intoxicating engine note, and the wonderful duality of its luxury and sporting capabilities. For 2023, the 100% made in Italy GranTurismo is renewed to set the new benchmark for luxurious two-door, four-seat sportscars.
The exterior is immediately recognizable as a seamless evolution of the preceding GranTurismo and its forebearers, but updated with contemporary Maserati embellishments. For the first time in GranTurismo's history, two distinct powertrains are available. Maserati's remarkable 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged Nettuno V6 is available in two trims levels - Modena with 490 hp, and Trofeo with 550 hp. The second powertrain on offer is pure electric, and marks Maserati's first all-electric car. The GranTurismo Folgore utilizes three 300-kW permanent magnet motors - one powering the front axle, and one powering each rear wheel - for a total output of 760 hp. All GranTurismo variants make use of a new and sophisticated dynamics module that comprehensibly control each drive mode. Comfort, GT, Sport, and Corsa mode for petrol-powered models; and Max Range, GT, Sport, and Corsa for Folgore models.
In the interior, the GranTurismo's cabin is appointed with Maserati's latest intuitive systems, including Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) Multimedia system, integrated touchscreen interfaces, configurable digital clock and dashboard, available Heads-Up Display, and available Sonus faber 3D sound system. Like its predecessor, the new GranTurismo offers an 'all-around sound experience' to highlight the iconic and resonant sounds of Maserati's engines, even the electric Folgore model will emit a captivating sound thanks to the thorough and passionate work done by engineers at the Maserati Innovation Lab.
